sultanofswing This EP is my overall favorite High Spirits release. "Be My Shelter" and "If I'm Gone" are my two favorite songs they've ever written. But all the tracks here are fantastic, and I can listen to them over and over and over. Amazing album!! Favorite track: If I'm Gone.

deadtotheworld This shit is no joke.. I loved Another night and this is every bit as good as the lp. I hear elements of UFO, Y&T, and maybe even some Ace Frehley solo material in this.. If every band doing this style of music was even half as good as High Spirits the term "pop metal" wouldn't be such a pejorative term. Favorite track: One Last Chance.

Matthew Altieri My favorite HS. Increased darkness and gravitas. A spare, almost minimalist aesthetic. Plus more bass and more reverb! Sounds like hovering over a city in the predawn hours, with Riot and 80s Hawkwind on the headphones. Favorite track: Midnight Sun.

David McCarty Perfectly crafted metal. This collection of pay-as-you-want demos goes to support the band touring Europe. Grab it!! Favorite track: If I'm Gone.

Lars Gotrich Chris Black calls these demos, but I'm pretty sure it's capital-letter Heavy Metal gospel. The wonder of Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Rainbow with some Cheap Trick hooks. Favorite track: One Last Chance.
